About Emily

For over 20 years, Emily has been using photographs and art to share stories. Across the USA, she's worked with celebrities, families, brands, along with everyday objects to do what photographers do - literally write with light. She is always seeking the light (like a cat who moves around the house to find the sunniest spot), she seeks to illuminate the beautiful moments her clients experience and the stories they seek to tell. During her career, she's earned several photography awards and has been published in publications and numerous news outlets.

In 2020, creating paper collages, she illustrated the beautiful book of meditations, "Joyful Mornings" by author Kayla Floyd.

As part of her handmade goods collection called emmie & co., she sells fine art prints and other wares in her online shop as well as at small businesses downtown Colorado Springs.

Emily teaches photography classes and one-on-one lessons, loves designing and dressing sets for local theater companies, and overall being part of an incredible community of artists - locally and worldwide.

She lives with her husband and kids in beautiful, sunny Colorado and travels any chance she can get (which isn't that often at the moment because raising four amazing children makes for one busy mama!).

Partial commercial client list includes: HGTV, Tony Bennett, American Heart Association, Anna Lowenthal Walsh - doula, First Theatre Company, the Source Salon + Spa, Juneberry Cafe.
